Deceased Identity Protection Information Collection

 

Information on deceased individuals

This website provides a data collection form for the purpose of collecting personal information on the deceased including name, address, date of birth, date of death, and their death certificate number if applicable.

Registration on the Deceased Identity Protection website is free.  When you sign up to the Deceased Identity Protection service, we will use the information that you provide on the deceased individual in our Mortascreen and Halo data files. These databases are respectively used by companies to stop marketing communications, for research purposes, fraud prevention and ID verification processes.

Information on registrants to the Deceased Identity Protection service

In the process of collecting deceased individuals’ data, we will also ask the registrant for their personal data. This information will be processed under legitimate interest and includes name, address, phone number.

We use the information we collect from the registrant for the purpose of identifying the source of information on the deceased individual and handling any subsequent queries.

With your permission, we will share your information with select partners for offering of additional services, which registrants are able to opt out of at any time.

We will keep registrant information in our database for as long as we hold information on the deceased individual.
